13 May 2007 - FORA IN BLOOM --Container Planting Demonstration
FORA wants to encourage residents to make the area a more colourful and greener place by planting up a container or window box for the summer.
For those who have never done it before, there'll be a demonstration of container planting on Sunday, May 13, at St Andrew's church, St Andrew's Road, E11 from 12 noon to 2pm.
All you need to do is bring along your container.Compost and liners will be supplied.There'll be plants for sale and a plant swap. Some containers and window boxes will also be available for sale.
FORA will be entering the Britain in Bloom competition. run by the Royal Horticultural Society, with everyone's container planting. Judging will be at the end of July. A separate competition will be held for the best front gardens in our area, with and without off road parking.
