An entertainment for young and old at Christmas

Tales from the Crypt, an entertainment of Christmas stories, was presented at  St Andrew's Church on Saturday, December 15.

Local residents -- youngsters and those in their second
childhood- were treated to an afternoon written and performed by Walter the
Lonesome Pigeon -- also known as Colin Gourley, a FORA committee member.

The improvised stage, centred on the altar of St Andrews Church, provided an
atmospheric backdrop as the audience was entranced by tales of magic and
 festive cheer.

Walter introduced himself with a captivating melody played
 on acoustic guitar.

A cleverly -concealed selection of hats and a basket
were used to illustrate the narrative, and encourage audience participation.

This one-man show by Colin -- a trained actor --successfully transcended the barriers of age and was
hugely enjoyed by everyone.

Bravo Colin! Encore! Encore!
